NY Online Food Safety Training Course Online
In addition to NY ATAP alcohol training and certification, National Hospitality Training offers the 8-hour Food Safety Principles Course in an online format. You may take the entire course online at your own pace in one or many settings. This 8-hour food safety course prepares the candidate to take the Food Protection Manager Certification Exam. This exam is accredited by the American National Standards Institute and the Conference for Food Protection (ANSI-CFP).
The 8-hour online food manager safety course in generic to the FDA code and serves as a study guide for any candidate who is required to take a food safety manager course or for those candidates who are preparing to take any ANSI-CFP Food Protection Certification Exam.
National Hospitality Training offers the 8-hour online food safety course by itself, the Food Protection Manager Certification Exam by itself and a package deal with the course and exam included.
The state of New York does require that every retail food store applying for a food processing establishment license show that an employee has been recognized as having completed an approved food safety course. Completing our course and exam satisfies that requirement.
The state of New York does not require a certified food safety manager at each restaurant, but many counties and local municipalities do. Even if it is not required in your city, having food safety training helps ensure that customers and employees won't be the victims of foodborne illnesses.

Many local health departments in NY have unique ordinances. If you are in doubt about which certification to take, please contact your local health department and see if they accept the ANSI-CFP certification. Most will and if that is the case, you are at the right website to get your certification!
Completing the 8-hour food safety course and the ANSI-CFP certification exam will result in a certification that is accepted in all 50 states.
